We are situated in the heart of Charmouth, a picturesque seaside village on the border between Dorset and Devon. Charmouth beach is a comfortable 10 minute walk down the hill. It is part of the World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast, popular for fossil hunting as well as sunbathing and water sports.
Charmouth is less than 2 miles from the popular, historic resort of Lyme Regis, 8 miles from the vibrant market town of Bridport and a perfect base to explore the wonderful Dorset and Devon coastline. See Fountains Mead on a map.

Fountains Mead is a beautiful conversion of the former Charmouth House Hotel and dates back several centuries. The house is spacious and luxuriously furnished.
We have two gardens to the rear, one with decking patio area immediately to the rear of the house, the other a large garden for children to play. There is a hot tub, patio heater and BBQ. It makes a wonderful place to stay for a seaside holiday.
Upstairs, the accommodation comprises three large, airy bedrooms. The Regis is furnished in cream and charcoal with a double bed, a double day bed and en suite shower room. The Axminster is beautifully decorated in soft pink tones and has a double bed and single bed. The Dorchester is a grand design of charcoal, black and rich mahogany and has a double bed and leather sofa.
There is also a crib, a cot and a family bathroom with shower and Victorian-style plunger bath. Bed linen and bath towels are provided.
Downstairs, there is a large, fully equipped kitchen with 8-seater breakfast table. There is a large lounge with premium home cinema system, including widescreen TV, Sky digital TV (Premium Sports and Movies) and video games.
Finally, there is a dining hall seating six in medieval style under the watchful gaze of Sir Ferdinand our resident knight in shining armour! Both downstairs rooms feature open log fires for those cold winter evenings.
